ABOUT THE BRANDS :

Designed for athletes by women who understand the unique demands of the female body. We are committed to lifting women’s performance and confidence, as well as each other, through science-backed design, innovation, and a challenger brand mindset. Founded by Claudia Glass, she set out to reimagine the sports bra while running on vacation as she couldn't find one to fit her needs.

Hettas is building high-performance, technical running shoes for women from the ground up. Historically, athletic footwear has been designed, researched, and tested for men. We operate from a purely female perspective. Our mission is to ensure the female running experience get the funding, research, and recognition it deserves. Founded by Lindsay Housman, Hettas stands for making the future as prepared for the next generation of women as they are for it.
ABOUT THE EXPERTS :

Tarah Valenti : Registered Dietitian, DEXA tech, a marathoner and soon-to-be ultra runner (literally in 2 weeks!). In her private practice, she works primarily with people interested in optimizing nutrition for longevity, body composition and performance.

Dr. Nikki Fancher : Licensed acupuncturist and doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine, she brings a grounded, compassionate presence to her work, with a deep respect for the body’s natural rhythms and wisdom. Her approach blends traditional practices with a modern understanding of health, offering space for rest, healing, and reconnection. Ed. note : Dr. Nikki worked miracles during postpartum with my son + I still see her regularly to keep my perimenopausal hormones under control.

Michelle Kunkel : Founder & CEO @ Roar, a strength training company, whose mission is to provide female-specific strength training classes and coaching focused on proper form in a supportive, fun, and community driven environment. As an Ironman finisher, Michelle especially appreciates how a well-rounded fitness program can positively impact all aspects of women's health. With a 12 year old daughter, Michelle is excited about training all generations of women towards improved health! Ed. note : Michelle regularly kicks my ass + is responsible for my biceps.
Gauri Desai : Stanford postdoc research fellow specializing in running biomechanics + energetics, with applications to runners from various demographics/backgrounds
